Flower Dome

Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay is the largest columnless Greenhouse dome in the world at 1.2 hectares big.

With a controlled temperature, it usually hovers between 23°C – 25°C and drops to as low as 16°C at night. It allows cool and dry Mediterranean climate plants to thrive under this condition.

The flower dome features plants from every continent in the world, except Antarctica because no plants can grow under such harsh condition.

Some of the highlights are the mother of the forest, the African Baobab tree and a thousand-year-old olive tree!

There is also a flower bed featuring thematic flowers from all over the world depending on the season. Instead of travelling to other destinations to admire seasonal flowers such as cherry blossom and tulips, we Singaporeans have the convenience to enjoy them at our doorsteps. Lucky us!
