Siloso Beach

Siloso Beach is one of the three sandy beachfront along the shorelines of Sentosa.

Beyond the tentage is the calm sea. There is a barrier that separates the safe swimming zone and straits of Singapore where many ships pass by daily.

This place brings back many beautiful memories. This is where I used to spend many weekends as a teenager hanging out with my friends. In the past, this was the hippest place to be seen and have fun without spending too much money. It only cost S$2 for a bus ride here from HarbourFront.

We would spend the day basking under the sun, spying on those cute hunks and babes with our reflective sunglasses. (Sneaking, I know! 😀 ) We would also play volleyball by the beach, cool off from the sweltering heat by splashing around the sea to cool down. Sometimes, we ended up throwing one another into the sea too. Often, those who cannot swim (me) would cling onto someone to piggyback ride out further into the sea and just making random jokes and talk about everything under the sun literally!

Those were the carefree days where we had waves of laughter and so much fun.

More than a decade later, this place still appeals to the youngsters. With the additions of beach bars it has turned into a place full of vibes for the sophisticated youth.

There are still various ways to get to Siloso Beach. You can take a bus from HarbourFront bus terminal, hop onto the Sentosa Express or even get here via the internal cable car/ shuttle bus.
