Hello. The first month of 2016 is as good as over and I have not been missing in action! It was just that I was a little overwhelmed in December and I took a 2 weeks vacation to Europe in the beginning of January and Chinese New Year is just round the corner means plenty of spring cleaning and getting ready for the Year of Monkey!

Pardon me while I need to get my yearly ritual done by recapping the past year, so let’s get started!

Reviewing Change 2015

Here is a recap of the 6 resolutions which I made for 2015.

1) Not to fall/ fracture/ sprain my ankles
It was not a difficult resolution I guess but me being me, I do need miracles sometimes and yes, I survived another year!

2) Take up Spanish class
Nah. I did called up a language school to check on Spanish class but somehow they were not keen to want to take my money. However instead of taking up Spanish class, I took up another course towards the end of last year, in-line with lifelong learning, I could consider this half done.

3) Save SGD$12,000 by the end of the year
Nope. I failed. I made some big ticket purchases so by the end of the year.

4) Cut down my time spent on time-consuming dramas (maximum of 8 sets of dramas a year).
I did not keep count of the number of dramas I watched in 2015 but I am pretty sure I did not spent all my time stuck in front of the TV or laptop catching up on dramas most of the time so I am going to let this slide and give myself a pass!

5) Complete 20 books in 2015.
I finished 19 books. I was closed. Good try but still did not meet target.

6) Run a full marathon
Alright, let’s just say I am a coward for backing out again another year.

All in all, I would say, it is a 2.5/6 of the resolution completed. I am sure I could do better than that, if I work hard enough.

Now, let’s look into other aspect of my life.

Health & Wellness

I am delighted to announce that I was less prone to illness which is absolutely a wonder! I clocked 3 days of Medical Leaves this year. I hate falling sick because it will take me forever to recover.

2015 is the year I open my world to yoga. Previously I have friends who asked me to join them to go for yoga classes but I always have this stigma that yoga will bore me to death because I am someone who love to be on the move but I finally took the plunge, I am surprised to find myself enjoying yoga classes.

It also means I signed up for gym membership this year because that explains the unlimited yoga classes I can go and also I tried to train other parts of my body and stamina with other classes as well. Well, the haze which clouded the sky of Singapore for 2-3 months motivated me to sign it up and so my sports habit has change a little. I am attending more classes than running on the road now. Well, anything to make me toner and healthier!

Travels

1) Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong, Vietnam (January)
2) Langkawi, Malaysia (January)
3) Penang, Malaysia (February)
4) Seoul, South Korea (March)
5) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (April)
6) Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam (May)
7) Yogyakarta, Indonesia (September)
8) Bangkok, Thailand (October)

I jetted off 8 times this year! Gosh, I think I broke my record again. Yeah, I am still holding on to a full time job and nope I still have only 14 days of annual leaves per year and don’t ask me why I manage to do it. I have to point out that most were with purposes, such as wedding, conferences and team building, not just solely just for travelling sake but I still managed to sneak some fun between them all.

Added a new country, Vietnam into my travel list, slowly and steady trying to conquer the world!

Memorable Moments in 2015

On the last day of 2015, I posted 12 photos in the span of 12 hours on my Instagram account recollecting the 12 most memorable moments which happened for the year.

Concluding for the the year

The theme of last year was Change. Did things change? Yes and no.

As I entered Club 30, I have to admit there was the little anxiety before I even stepped cross the line but you know what? We are the oldest that we have ever been and the youngest that we haver have been so screw that number and just live life!

I am still in the same company with 14 days of annual leaves so work wide nothing much has change.

In the month of October, I started conceptualising some plans with my friend Luwee and I am excited about the project we are embarking so that is a good start! We will see where shall it take us to. ?

I guess I survived another year and I hope 2016 is going to be a better one with more highlights and adventures.

Cheers 2015, hope your year was an awesome one and hello 2016!
